GFRW Winter Board Meeting - February  4, 2006

The GFRW Winter Board Meeting was called to order by President Millie Rogers at 9 a.m. on February 4, 2006.  Attending were 115 members including Club Presidents, District Directors, Standing and Special Committee members, GFRW Officers and many Republican visitors.  Also attending were a number of our elected Republican officials and candidates for office in 2006. President Millie and other officers expressed their  exuberance at the large number of ladies in attendance .The invocation was given by Ora Jean Gunnin, Chaplin, and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Holly Comer. Sam Olens, Chairman of the Cobb Co. Board of Commissioners, welcomes the group to Cobb County

Randy Evans, Legal Counsel for the GA GOP, updates the Federation on some current legal issues.

Congressman Phil Gingrey reports on recent events in the U.S. Congress including the new Medicare Part D plan for seniors which is in a state of confusion. Many questions followed.

Read President's Report

Bartow Republican Women's Club was chartered at the GFRW Winter Board of Directors meeting held at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel, in Cobb County on February 4th. Millie Rogers, GFRW President presented new club charter to Mindie Glidewell, President Bartow Republican Women's Club joined by Tonya Boga, 6th District Director.
